Ghorepani and Tatopani (Natural hot spring) trekking offers the spectacular mountain scenery along with charming villages inhabited particularly by the Pun Gurungs and Magars, dense rhododendron forests full of birds and deep sub-tropical valleys, all set below the Annapurnas with the picturesque peak of Machhapuchhare (Fishtail Peak) dominating the skyline and the natural hot pond where we take bath for tired muscle. One of the important highlight of Ghorepani Tatopani trip is to make a climb on Pun Hill “public tower”, possibly the most spectacular mountain scrapes on Earth. When sun rises, it touches the snow-capped summits the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m) along with a maze of other peaks, there gradually appear, just like magic that your eye could not believe.
Ghorepani Tatopani trekking fetch is the beautiful and ornate village of Ghandruk, home to the Annapurna Conservation Area Project, where you have a chance to visit the project to discover at first hand the conservation work being carried out. There is Gurung Museum, Monastery is interesting to visit. Then we visit Pun Hill for sunrise and sunset after that direcclty walk down to Tatopani natural hot spring. Tatopani to Pokhara there is road facilities but still some part of journey you will drive in off road which is also a type adventure experience in Nepal Himalaya.
Tatopani has long been a favourite stop with weary trekkers, and while the road has lured away some of these visitors, it now also brings folks up from Pokhara on short overnight trips. After crossing the river at Tatopani, the Annapurna Circuit trail heads up to Ghorepani (2750m) on the greatest ascent of the entire trail. In the other direction, the road and the trail – often the latter is on the opposite bank of the river to the former – continue north towards Jomsom.
